Abstract
Cleft palate operation could close the oro-nasal communications. Usually, the cleft palate operation is performed under 1 to 2 years old. The purpose of the cleft palate operation is to close the oro-nasal fistula to improve speech, swallowing and mastication. In this report, we operated on 51 and 65-old female patient who visited our clinic to close the cleft palate. The patient had no history of previous operation. Both patients showed a total of 18mm widecleft at the center of the palate. Intravelar veloplasty was performed to close the wide cleft and the result was successful.
